Prediction of leaf Bloch disease risk in Norwegian spring wheat based on weather factors and host phenology

چکیده
Abstract Leaf blotch diseases (LBD), such as Septoria nodorum bloch ( Parastagnospora ), tritici Zymoseptoria ) and Tan spot Pyrenophora tritici-repentis can cause severe yield losses (up to 50%) in Norwegian spring wheat Triticum aestivum are mainly controlled by fungicide applications. A forecasting model predict disease risk be an important tool optimize control. The association between specific weather variables the development of LBD differs growth stages. In this study, a mathematical estimate phenological was derived based on sowing date, air temperature photoperiod. Weather factors associated with severity were then identified for selected stages correlation study data (17 years). Although information regarding host resistance previous crop added factors, two purely weather-based prediction models (CART, classification regression tree algorithm) one black box (KNN, K nearest neighbor most accurate moderate high (>5% infection). predictive accuracy these (76–83%) compared that existing used Norway Denmark (60 61% accuracy, respectively). newly developed performed better than models, but still had tendency overestimate risk. Specificity new varied 49 74% 40 37% models. These promising decision tools improve integrated management Norway.

15 صفحه اولCan Growing Degree Days and Photoperiod Predict Spring Wheat Phenology?
Wheat (Triticum aestivum) production in the rainfed area of Pothwar Pakistan is extremely vulnerable to high temperature. The expected increase in temperature due to global warming should result in shorter crop life cycles, and thus lower biomass and grain yield. Two major factors control wheat phenological development: temperature and photoperiod. To evaluate wheat development in response to t...

Climate change has changed numerous species phenologies. Understanding the asynchronous responses between pest insects and host plants to climate change is helpful in improving integrated pest management. It is necessary to use long-term data to analyze the effects of climate change on cotton bollworm and wheat anthesis. Data for cotton bollworm, wheat yield, and wheat anthesis collected since ...

15 صفحه اولEffective Factors in Little Leaf Disease on Pistachio Trees
In this survey, effective factors in little leaf disease on trees were studied in different pistachio orchards in Kerman province. Little leaf disease is the most serious disease of pistachio in Iran. Affected trees reduced growth rates. The first symptoms of little leaf disease are those of nutrient deficiency: a slight yellowing and shortening of the needles and reducing of shoot growth. New ...
